Dr. Day received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering at Konkuk University in South Korea in 2004. She completed her medical degree at Kent State University in 2017. She finished her podiatric surgery training at Sisters of Charity hospital, ECMC level 1 Trauma Center, Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Excelsior Orthopedics, and Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Dr. Day worked at The Orthopedic Center in Palm Bay in 2022-2023.
She has a current interest in diabetic peripheral neuropathy treatment, flatfoot reconstruction, sports injuries, and fracture treatment. With her biomedical engineering background, Dr. Day has a strong understanding of not only static structures but also body mechanics of tarsal bones, muscle function, and an improved understanding of etiology. Foot and ankle of unique specialty is pretty complicated there are lots of little joints that go together.
Having a biomedical engineering background, it leads well understanding not only static structures but body mechanics of tarsal bones and muscle function, better understanding of etiology. In addition to understanding mechanics, really listening to what their complaints are and what's functionality they are looking to do makes difference.
